Still stitching

Our quilt chapter meetings will soon take a break for summer, however we are still stitching like mad at home. We have lots of show and tell for today's meeting.

Donna M. took a class at Mystic Maine Quilts and made this large tote bag. The pattern is called mat board tote bag from Cut Loose Press. Doesn't that look handy?

Carol tried her hand at the popular "Coconut Chip" quilt but something went awry. She still managed to make a colorful quilt. This one is a charity donation.

Diane showed her crazy quilt based on the months in a year. The months are all stitched with their Latin name.

Jean made a charity quilt using Donna Robertson's pattern "Crossroads" from Quilts in a Jiffy: 3 Yard Quilts. Very sweet!

Jean made "Sew Scrappy Spools" from Lori Holt. This pattern is our chapter challenge for Maine Quilts this year. Fabulous!

That's Betsy peeking over the top of her bright and beautiful quilt. She used "The Lady" quilt pattern from our charity sew-in day. This quilt will go to our charity of the year, Bridges to Blessings.

Leanne made "Not Your Daddy's Log Cabin" pattern from David Sirota. Log cabin blocks lend themselves to so many colorful variations. Great job, Leanne!

Sue K, our wonderful Secretary who keeps me on track for my blog posts and Patchwork Press entries, made "The Lady" with this colorful version. So fresh and cheery, Sue. Sue Rap did the quilting. Another charity quilt. We will have lots of charity quilts to share with Barbara Anderson from the Salvation Army when she visits next month.

Our President and Maine Quilt Show Coordinator extraordinaire Barbara Duffy! Barb showed us her Tacoma Quilt Show Challenge quilt. Barb assured us that you don't have to make the full quilt to enter this challenge and proved the point with this pretty quilt. The pattern is Sew Scrappy Spools designed by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet Co. Be sure to look for it in the show!
