Tacoma Lakes Quilters Christmas Party was wonderful comradery with each other. .... food....presents...surprises.

She opened her gift and lo and behold it was a child's gift It seems a husband had wrapped two the same size and the wrong one was grabbed.

Here is her real gift....Andrea's hubby brought it and here BJ 
is opening the real thing. It was a great laugh for us!!

Tacoma Meeting December 5, 2018

Tacoma Lake Quilters met for our business meeting. You would have thought we were having a Christmas party as the place where we meet had been decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful and not only that we had only 2 gals signed up for goodies....everyone must have got the notice as it looked almost like the party we will have next time. Such a variety of goodies. We have a wonderful group of gals who always come up to the need. 
'Show 'n Tell', as you will see was quite large  (47 items) followed by demos that are always popular.  Kat with her expertise of - 'Quilt as you go' and Sue R - who is so precise with details - 'One Patch -  45 Degree Diamonds'. We have the building for the day so some choose to stay, and utilize the time to get in some sewing. 

Our last meeting was a workshop making Jelly roll rugs. These are all unique.

 Many of these above are 'finished' UFO's . Each member was challenged to make a list and see how many they could complete. Names will be put in for each one completed for a drawing in June. And our challenger is Pam who said it is a really nice prize. (smile)
