Our collection of charity quilts continues and Brenda P, our coordinator shared that we have made 50. They are given to Maine Medical Center in So. Portland that is in great need and we will continue to make and send.
Area 4 Spring meeting will be held at Litchfield Sportsmen's Club April 26 at 6:00 pm. The host chapter is Cabin Fever, along with Cumston Area Quilters, Loose Threads, Tacoma Lakes and Sacred Cotton. Admission is $3.00, also bring a Spring themed FAT QUARTER. They will be bundled and given as door prizes. It is always a fun evening with food...show 'n tell and visiting with other quilters that we do not see often. Speaker Cheryl Proctor, of Cabin Fever Quilters, will share her love of making miniature quilts with a fabulous trunk show showcasing her "100 Little Treasures" - YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS IT!
We have a chapter challenge that several are working on and will be displayed at the Maine quilt show in July. We also collect each month for 'Food for Thought'.... the monies are divided to a local food bank and backpack program in our area.
Our Show 'n Tell is always a favorite at any meeting that we are together.
