Wednesday's meeting was a stamping workshop taught by DonnaM and Anne. There was a pretty good turnout for the workshop, and they looked like they were having lots of fun. Those who were not taking the workshop sat and sewed on their own projects.
There were a few who brought in quilts for show and tell.
Betty finished quilting the last of the Yankee Puzzle quilts from our workshop last spring.

Tacoma Lakes Quilters - 1.8.20
Today was our first meeting of the New Year, and the day started with a few snowflakes but not enough to keep our members at home--we had a decent turnout. It was a standard business meeting with the usual reporting, Mini Raffle, and Show and Tell. There was some additional discussion about trash disposal at the Lodge, our responsibility for door prizes for the PTQG Members Meeting on January 25, and a reminder to bring potholder blocks to the Members Meeting for those who wish to donate.
We also had two demos: SueR did one on making a potholder block/quilt a la Wendy Caton Reed, and DonnaM also did one on Circles on Fabric a la Timna Tarr.
Show and Tell is always one of the highlights of our meetings, and our members are always busy.
Karen and Laura made bunches of lap-sized quilts for Meals on Wheels last year, and they've changed up their pattern and started a new bunch. This month they made 6 for their charity.
Janice's quilt, "Any Way the Wind Blows", design by Donna Haas, The Quilter Magazine, Nov 2009. This was on Janice's UFO Challenge list.
Janice completed another item on her UFO list, a wool candle mat, from Primitive Gatherings.
Janice's embroidered tea towel from Hoppin' Bobbin.
Janice's tissue box cover
Carol completed two pincushions, which were on her UFO Challenge list.
Beth's quilt, "Baxter". This was her Bucket List Challenge quilt.
Tacoma Lakes Quilters raffle quilt for 2020, "Kaleidoscope Rainbows".
Judy's potholder block for PTQG's Bicentennial Project.
Judy's sewing machine pad, made by her daughter.
Kathy's triangle wall hanging. She plans to donate it to a local Margaret Murphy Center.
Kathy is working on a series of calendar quilts, and this is her quilt for September.
