Tacoma Lakes Quilters - February 6, 2019

At our business meeting we are always greeted with coffee and goodies, we are a friendly morning chapter and we have a lot of fun interacting. We always welcome visitors or new members plus the faithful ones.  Our Show 'n Tell follows and this week over 25 entries. Popular is a mini-raffle with donated items and one of the items was a gorgeous knitted sweater donated by Jona won by Andrea.

Our workshop tally for the bibs that will go to veterans, nursing homes etc. was 146. It was decided to make it an ongoing charity for those who want to continue.

The monies raised for the Alfond Cancer Center (Under Labels on the right - 2019 Alfond Cancer Ctr. you will find more info.

We discussed our Charity Sew-in in March to make 10 quilts - fabric has been purchased and kits made up. Helen who is heading it up put the 'how to' tutorial under LABELS - YANKEE PUZZLE (on right). Check it out...it is very clear instructions and well done. We thank her for all the hard work.

After each business meeting we have Demos ...we are never too experienced to learn new things. Self-bindings, Leaders and Enders, and Redwork. Excellent info!
