Tacoma meeting March 18th - Fidget Quilts workshop

Today we had our scheduled Fidget Quilts workshop. Our leader for this workshop was a tad under the weather so she was unable to attend but I'm sure Suanne will be pleased by the participation.

Our fearless photographer, Margo, was also under the weather so yours truly, Barb, took the photos and is filling in by submitting this post.

Approximately 27 ladies showed up today with machines, fabrics of all kinds and textures, buttons, zippers, lace, ribbons and a whole lot of enthusiasm!! Here are a few photos ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This is Andrea's Fidget Quilt in progress
Here is Anne T's for a lady

Another of Anne T's for a gent

Scads of buttons and textured fabrics

 Judy hard at it!!
Just look at the smorgasbord of fun fabrics to use

As you can see, everyone enjoyed the day - lots of discussion and inspiration from all!!

That's it for now - should be an exciting Show & Tell at our next meeting on April 1st!!

Thanks, Barb, for taking the photos and posting to the blog. It was a fun time for sure! There were lots of good discussions and sharing of ideas, embellishments, and fabrics. Sue K had some great stuff from shopping at Goodwill--children's clothing including tiny jeans, a couple of small pouches with interesting closures, and two belts with different buckles. Andrea had lots of good ideas with the spools on a thick string and ribbon loops sewn into the edges. Fake fur, scratchy stuff, upholstery samples with the extra large grommets--there was a lot to choose from! Anne
