Tacoma has an open sew day for its members on the off Wednesdays of the month, and last week we had an in-house, day-long, potluck retreat. The event was well attended, and we had a great time. And there was plenty of good food! Quilters are good cooks! Many of us stayed well into the afternoon, and we all got quite a bit accomplished.
Betty's patriotic house blocks
Sharon's 24 fat quarters quilt from the recent workshop. It's made with many floral fabrics--perfect for a spring quilt.
Margo's Disappearing Nine Patch
Ann's blocks for our raffle quilt
Donna's house blocks
SandyK's bear quilt
And photos of some of the attendees.

Tacoma meeting March 18th - Fidget Quilts workshop
Today we had our scheduled Fidget Quilts workshop. Our leader for this workshop was a tad under the weather so she was unable to attend but I'm sure Suanne will be pleased by the participation.
Our fearless photographer, Margo, was also under the weather so yours truly, Barb, took the photos and is filling in by submitting this post.
Approximately 27 ladies showed up today with machines, fabrics of all kinds and textures, buttons, zippers, lace, ribbons and a whole lot of enthusiasm!! Here are a few photos ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Tacoma Meeting - March 11
A beautiful Spring like day for Tacoma Quilters of Litchfield's meeting that was postponed last week because of inclement weather. Last month we had red/white blocks as a monthly drawing for those who make one.A drawing this month was for green/white blocks and the winner gets to take them all home. Next month color for block is '30's and white. Our show'n tell is always popular as we share what we have finished. Closing was Barb demonstrating 'feet' on the Janome and Viking sewing machines that we have and never use. It was very informative and Barb is so creative and made it interesting. A great day to be together.
Green/white block to be drawn
