February meeting....finally!

Tacoma quilters were busy sewing at home since Christmastime. We were unable to meet in January, but February saw us back at the lodge with plenty to show for our unavoidable hiatus.

Beth made a Courthouse Steps mini quilt in patriotic colors to hang on her sewing room door.

Beth showed off her Temecula Quilt BOM. Temecula offered a yearlong BOM in 2021 using a different block each month. There are four versions of each block throughout the quilt, all in different colors and fabrics. Blocks are only 4 inches square so lots of variety in a small quilt.

Donna W made this wintry wallhanging. "Snow is for the Birds" by Holly Hill. Love the peppermint candy cane binding!

Janet made this sweet Churn Dash quilt. Quite a departure from Janet's usual bargello quilts! Lovely. She made this quilt at the Richmond Senior Center.

Another quilt by Janet, in soft colors. Sweet dreams under this quilt.

Bea stitched up a storm with all of these fun pillocases. She had fun picking out many novelty prints for each intended recipient. Bea made these using the "hot dog" method. She said she especially likes that technique because there are no raw edges.

Kathy B is famous for her scrappy quilts. We all love them!

Variations on a theme.

Kathy also worked on two fidget quilts. These will be donated for Alzheimer's patients.

Kathy B with a bright green scrappy quilt in a different block arrangement. Looks like a wonderful way to use some scraps!

Last in Kathy's bag of quilts, a tried and true, all in blue Chinese Coins! Great job Kathy!

Donna M. participated in a mystery quilt challenge from Two Kwik Quilters called Kwik Black and White Mystery Quilt.

Donna M also had enough fabric left for this beautiful pillow, complete with flanges.

And a great job to all of our wonderful Tacoma Lakes Quilters!
Thank you and see you next month with more quilt eye candy !
