 December meeting show and tell

Jean showed us a quilt carrier she made from instructions by Pam. Very roomy!

That's Jean peaking over the top of her lovely quilt. "Wind Drifter" by Robin Pickens. A Christmas gift for some very lucky person.

Betsy whipped up this pillow with a Lemoyne Star block that has been in her stash for a long time. Isn't it nice when you find a use for something you made long ago? Nice job!

Sue saw a fabric ornament recently and set about figuring out how to make one. She showed us several versions. This one is her final, perfect star.

Judy made this pretty Christmas pinwheel wall hanging/table runner. Just right for holiday decorating.

Judy's totebag made from Christmas fabric stash.

Janice made a black, gray and white quilt. Looks cozy!

In vibrant contrast to her black and white quilt, Janice finished a kit from Connecting Threads. It is called Trip Around the Sun from Lisa Norton Designs AKA Material Girlfriends. Wow! This quilt is gorgeous!

Another creation from Janice. She is happy to have completed a long time ufo. It was a BOM from Keepsake Quilting. Petite Log Cabin Flowers by Castillega Cotton. Lovely fabrics and intriguing log cabin block.

Donna loves hand stitching. This pattern featuring wool fabric baskets came from Simply Vintage magazine. Hand applique and hand quilting.

More Christmas decorating! Donna's table runner is called Rooftop Santa's by Disa Designs.

Bea made a color quilt to cover her card table.

Merry Christmas!

November 2021 meeting

Betsy raised the bar for all of us with her hair and outfit coordinating nicely with her fabric!

Tell us, Betsy, which came first, the fabric or the hair and wardrobe?

Betty finished a crazy patch basket wall hanging. Quilted by Kathy B.

Betty's log cabin wall hanging. She chose a house block for the center. Betty loves her blues and browns. These are going to hang in her bedroom for sweet dreams!

Carol made a very large quilt for a male family member for Christmas. She chose many fabrics based on his hobbies. We are sure he will enjoy such a personalized quilt.

Pam made this Star Sampler from Somerset Patchwork and Quilting. Such variety!

From Pam's bucket list of quilts to make or finish. Pam, wearing blue mask, completed this Christmas quilt by Alex Anderson called Holiday Lights.  We all loved this one!

Jean made this free Bonnie Hunter pattern using lots of "leaders and enders". I think Bonnie would approve. Another Christmas gift ready to put under the tree.

Do you recognize Jean's quilt? It's from Kim Diehl, of course! We love Jean's work and Kim Diehl's patterns so such a winning combination!

Sharon made a baby quilt from a panel. Perfect for the modern baby!

Sharon made another wonderful wall hanging using Jordan Fabric's "Secret Window" technique. We are all very impressed with these expanded panel quilts.

Happy Quilting!

October 2021 meeting

First up in our show and tell, Jean with a foundation strip quilt she made for charity. This was her first attempt at foundation piecing and it sounds like it might be her last as she is not a fan. A colorful quilt, nonetheless.

Jean made a fun octagon block I Spy quilt that will make someone very happy with all those novelty fabrics.

Anne dug through her scraps to find some old floral prints that she had been saving for a watercolor quilt. She was inspired by Chinese Coin quilts and Bonnie Hunter's Bitcoin quilt.

Anne made another of her great scrappy quilts using the Chinese Lantern quilt block. She set the lantern on its side. The quilt back is the same beautiful green since she loved it so much she bought the bolt!

Donna made a quilt with Moda Fabrics "Animal Crackers" fabric. Such a charming quilt.

Donna had more "Animal Crackers" fabric and made an assortment of fun placemats.

Table runners Donna made for gifts. She enjoyed mixing and matching fabrics for these.

We all were impressed with Sharon's fabulous quilt. A gorgeous palette of colors really wowed us! The pattern is Twilight Time by Sarah J.
