Tacoma - Workshop 3.3.16

Tacoma Lake Quilters held a Workshop with Wendy Reed prolific in her talent. She taught a unique way to make a potholder quilt. We made 2 blocks of 6" completely  finishing each one just like you would with a big quilt. Then she showed us how to sew them together and all the little tips.
to be successful. Click on her name above and it will take you to her blog. She also did a truck show for us June 3, 2015. You can find it on the sidebar under the date.

It was a great day with about 30 women and many with sewing machines and others with their own projects. Show 'n Tell is always popular and as always beautiful handiwork. A full day with potluck for lunch. Followinng I will Share a few of the highlights of the day.

Tacoma - March 3, 2016

Tacoma Lake Quilters of Litchfield, faced some challenges of snow/rain this week. Many arriving a little later when the roads were better. Our regular business meeting covered various topics. Each month we collect monies for our food pantry -Litchfield and backpack for school children, Gardiner. We also collected many incubator quilts for our charity project that will be given to a local hospital. The winner of our monthly blocks (blue/yellow) was Brenda.  April 7 a busload are headed to MQX Quilt Festival in NH for the day.
We are a busy chapter and enjoy getting together. Our members also meet on the off weeks to quilt, knit, visit or whatever one feels like doing...we call it 'Sharing Threads". We come and go as we want.
