Tacoma goes AI

 No, we do not have a new meeting place! We are not in new spiffy quarters. Its 2026 and we are using AI to assist us. Kathy B, who diligently snaps all of our photos, has found a way to alter the background in our photos. No more fire extinguishers vying with our beautiful quilts! No more garbage cans photo bombing our members and their quilts! I hope you enjoy the updated look.

 

Who wouldn't want this cozy sewing studio? And look at all of those supplies! Welcome to the world of AI, folks. Kathy B used a photo of Sue R with a demo of what she calls "Chevron Chic". Her pretty quilt uses the cut aways for the Stash Bandit "Tango" patterns. You will remember Diane Harris aka Stash Bandit as the featured artist at the Maine Quilts Show 2025.  

 

 

 

Kat made "Playful Puppies" for the 2026 Maine Quilts. She used faux piping with the binding and even included a puppy on her label. Fantastic!

 

 Kathy made Diane Harris's "Tango" using all striped fabrics. Lots of pow with much less effort. Let the fabric work for you. Great results!

Leanne, shown here with a more modest AI background, made this "Winter" quilt for the Maine Quilts chapter challenge. She used EQ8, a paper pieced cardinal from "Jack", and a snowflake from During Quiet Time Design. We hope to see many more winter quilts this summer.
