September 18 Tacoma Meeting

Tacoma Quilters of Litchfield met for a Workshop. It was 'TURNING TWENTY',  designed by Tricia Cribbs. The women came with their machines and fabric already cut out and were instructed by SueR (left) and Sherry(right).

This is a quick entry as most of the day was taken up with our workshop. We always enjoy our projects we have and laughter and fun interacting with fellow quilters. Our Area 4 Rep Ann joined us for some updates...it is always great to have her with us. Until next time....

September 4 Business Meeting

Tacoma Lakes Quilters held their first Fall meeting at Litchfield Plains Baptist Church at 9:30. Most everyone is there by 9:00 catching up on the latest news. We now have 40+ members and excitement filled the air as we paid our dues...picked up a morsel of food..looked at the new projects for the year that were laid out on a table. You saw  3 -5 gals here and there catching up on the latest news or exchanging quilt ideas..
Here is a tidbit of our meeting.

JULY 16 Picnic

Tacoma Lakes Quilters of Litchfield had their final meeting of the year. A summer picnic with each one bringing whatever they felt to bring. As always there was an abundance of food with nothing lacking. Not only great quilters but great cooks!!

I have taken many pictures at various times so decided I would just do Show 'n Tell this week. As always beautiful works of art. Enjoy...........

We are already thinking about the Fall and new projects.

June 19 Meeting

This was our final regular meetings for the year 2012-13 season for Tacoma Lake Quilters. We came excited, as always, for this was our 'secret sister reveal' and what fun it was. Looking back over the year we reviewed what we have accomplished. You can see all we have done in previous posts. Many ideas were also presented for the coming year and we signed up for those we were most interested in. We will be having our Summer Picnic in July and in August we will have a planning session to choose the new calendar for 2013-14.

Rainey -  A series of 2 1/2" strips of batiks. She decided it needed more design,

so appliqued a couple of orange flowers and then made some

flowers from Kumiko Sudo's book "Flower Origami'.
