Tacoma Meeting - October 1

Tacoma Lakes Quilters of Litchfield met this morning with the usual flurry of activity. Our quilt show is the biggest subject as we endeavor to put all the pieces into place. It is coming together amazingly well with all the various talents of the gals...they are not only quilters but great organizers and helpers.
We have the Fat Quarter Club which is very popular...How it works: Each month a name is drawn, a fabric of your choice, you receive a FQ from each participant. We support 'Food for Thought' a local school program for needy children and the 'Food Bank' each month. We are a group that has done a lot for the local community over the years plus charities that reach beyond into the state.
and it has brought great joy. We want to give back to our community by sharing with them the artistry of our members by having the quilt show in Litchfield this year.

Tacoma Meeting - September 17

Tacoma Quilters of Litchfield, ME. met and an array of goodies/coffee awaited us at 9:00 a.m. with offerings for everyone and of course lots of chatter about this and that. Our business meeting was full with decisions for the new year. The upcoming Quilt show October 25th and 26th at the Carrie Ricker School.is the present excitement as we see each piece fitting together. Special aprons have been distributed to all the members to wear with logo and our name (see above in header).  Lots of discussion on various areas. It is a big job but is so amazing the many talents of the gals. They not only quilt but have expertise in so many areas which will reflect in our show. Our theme is 'Making New Friends'  - Set the dates aside and come join us.

As always we have 'Bring and Brag' or 'Show and Tell' whatever you prefer to call it.

Tacoma Meeting- June 16

Tacoma Quilters of Litchfield held their summer picnic in spite of the pouring rain at Koleen's lovely home. Lots of excitement as we arrived with our inedible buffet and our edible buffet offerings. Also gifts for those who had birthdays in July and August. A special Happy Birthday was sung for Sue B. who so faithfully helps me with names and descriptions of the 'Bring and Brag' for each month.

The inedible buffet were things exactly the same for the 34 people who signed up to take part. Of course, the edible buffet were delicious offerings and then Bring 'n Brag.

A very gracious hostess Koleen,
Thank you for opening up your lovely home.
