So much inspiration!

 Barb is modeling a quilted coat that Kathy made. Kathy bought the quilt at Goodwill and used the "fabric" for this coat. She used the "Elemental Coat" pattern by Theresa Coats to make the coat, but did not like the final result, but Barb sure did! Kathy gave Barb the coat and Barb was able to wear this lovely creation at the PTQG meething last weekend. I'm sure she got many compliments and stayed warm, too! 

 

 Barb made this vibrant pink quilt top. She used Kathy's square in a square method for this charity quilt. 

 Brenda did the applique and Kat quilted this delightful quilt. Patterns are from the Jelly Roll Club. 

 Carol made a sofa quilt and used up some pink rectangles she had. Very thrifty!

 

 

Lori has been very busy in her sewing room. She brought in more of her creations using coiled rope mats as the base for her designs. The tote bags were her inspiration for these designs which were fusible applique.

Lori used cornerstones in the sashing and striped fabrics for this vibrant quilt.

 

I thought Lori had brought in a BBQ grill for our refreshment table. Nope! It is a globe that Lori turned into garden art. 

 Last in Lori's recent offerings, it a bin for her sewing room, made out of fabric, of course. Watch this space for more inventive show and tell from Lori in the coming weeks!

Leanne won "fall blocks" at the Area 4 retreat and made them into this quilt. The sashing really brings them all together . 

Leanne made 2 blocks with an ocean theme for the Union Fair raffle quilt. She used patterns from Tartankiwi by Juliet van der Heijden. These make me want to learn how to do paper piecing! So interesting!
 

Anne T. took a weaving class and brought in 2 samples of what she made. Anne likes to make her own clothes and would like to incorporate her weaving into her clothing. Can't you just see that fringe swishing back and forth? 

 

Mary is new to Tacoma, but not new to quilting. She brought in a few of her recent projects. Table mats and table runners. The table runner is an old Fons and Porter pattern called "Jingles" Nice to see some of the old patterns that we know and love still going strong.

Meliss showed us this handy bag that stores lots of sewing gear. The pattern is from Sew Wonderful. 

Meliss  made this Minnick and Simpson quilt called "Derby House". We have two other members who made quilts from this pattern. Each one uses different colors and it would be fun to show them all together. 

 Quilting is not the only craft that Meliss excels at, here she is with a vest she knit and a shirt she made, pattern from "Hand Sewn Wardrobe" by Louisa Owen Sonstroem. We certainly have many multi-talented Tacoma members!

 Judy's daughter made her a bag with printed letters and postcards from 1914. Her daughter had the family mementos copied and printed on fabric. Now that is a gift to treasure, and I am sure Judy does. 

Donna made a fleece fringe blanket for charity. 

Donna also made a Leila Gardunia Design called Scrappy Mountains. Foundation paper piecing. 

Sue R said she was just using up fabric from Tacoma's bin of fabric  for this one. So nice!

Kim made a "Kyle's Kite" quilt. We had a workshop using an Elinlor Burns pattern and ruler some time ago. Kim made a graphic version to great effect.
