Almost time for the summer break

I bought this castle panel while at a quilt retreat this spring. I knew my daughter would love it and I promised that I would quilt it for her. She plans to hang it above her computer at home.

I learned how to make this quilt block online. I showed how to make one at our meeting. These little flags are very "potato chippy" to make!

You can find the instructions here: https://pinkernpunkinquilting.blogspot.com/2024/05/flag-quilt-scrap-happy-flag-quilt.html

Janet has made several "Waverunner" table runners. Pattern from GE Designs. Donna M. led a workshop on how to make these and we have seen lots of very pretty variations.

Janet makes placemats, too. Her own pattern.

Diane showed us her version of "The Lady" by Villa Rosa Designs...

...and she made this bag from the leftovers.

Hell's Grannies! Diane painted and stitched her "patch" . I just love it!

Linda shared the story about this quilt. It was begun in the late 1960s by her Grandmother. Linda finished it by renting a long arm and learning how to complete this lovely traditional quilt. Very special!

Jean brought in her gorgeous blue quilt-"Classic" by Louanna Mary Quilt Design. I don't think the photo really does justice to how beautiful this quilt is.

Leanne showed us these projects she has been working on. The flowers are from classroom kits by Quilters Treasure. The cat is also from Quilters Treasure called Casual Cats. I think Leanne likes a challenge. Beautiful work.
Sharon is back from spending the winter in Florida. She has been busy! This panel quilt is called Sweet Pea.
Sharon also made this gorgeous Judy Niemeyer quilt. Wow!

Donna M. has been busy, too. Here is a beautiful panel quilt called Full Bloom by Quilt Ox Design.

Donna M. also made this stunning bargello quilt called Lightning Strikes by Chris Timmins. From Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine.

Donna M. made another Waverunner table runner using Tilda fabrics. Designed by Gudrun Erk, GE designs. So pretty.

Betsy, on the right, made this large quilt for her grandson using panels.

Betsy also made this bucket at a retreat. The pattern is called "Camden Bowl" from 2 Aunties. Now that would be handy on your sewing table, don't you think?

And last, here I am (Beth) doing a demo for "Scrappy Flags" We are fortunate to have a large meeting room complete with kitchen and plenty of storage space. We can really accommodate a large group and spread out our wares.

Happy Quilting until next time!

A little of this, a little of that

Leanne with her Chickadee and Black Bear from Lover of Life Designs.

Leanne made this super cute bag using Natalie Rawlinson's pattern from Ticklegrass Designs/Bodobo Bags with cat square from Mary Herschleb Designs. Bonus points to Leanne for pulling inspiration from different designers!

Leanne made "Firefly" by Valori Wells Designs for a shop hop challenge.

Leanne  calls this one Twisted Decadence. This is her own design using EQ8. Wonderful!

Using Midas Touch fabric from Northcott, According to  Leanne she "just cut up fabric" to make this one! No pattern necessary!

Jean made this very lively quilt from Karen Brown's "Just Get it Done" website. This is called "Foolproof Layer Cake".

Another beauty from Jean, this one is a traditional log cabin block with wool applique. I hope we get to see this one at Maine Quilts 2025 where log cabin quilts are the theme.

Sue made this pretty quilt for our charity using the ever popular "Iceberg" pattern from Villa Rosa Designs. Those are mermaids splashing about, I believe. A fun quilt!

Carol showed us this quilt top at a previous meeting, today she has it all quilted. Beautiful job!

Lori H. picked up this mystery quilt top found at a yard sale. Was this double wedding ring quilt top meant to be a bed quilt or a table runner? Did someone call off the wedding or did someone just give up on the pattern? It is a mystery that Lori passed on to Meliss. Meliss says it is hand quilted. Of course, sometimes quilts like these are used at the foot of the bed...for the cat? A very pretty find and I am sure one that Meliss will enjoy.
