Tacoma Workshop - January 20, 2016

Tacoma Quilters of Litchfield met for a special class today.
Workshop - It's a wrap with Kim G.

Grab your clothesline....about 3/4" wide strips and start to wrap. Using an 18" Jean needle....wide zigzag stitch... on slow if you are a beginner away you go for a unique basket made by you. What fun!!
Kim made it look fun, easy, and rewarding. Lots of ideas were shared. There are many videos on YouTube. I shared just one also available is a book. "It's a Wrap"

 Ann  T.- she used a different technique and sewed the rope with colorful thread..on one she included a little material. She is creative and many times a forerunner in things we do.

Tacoma - January 6, 2016

Tacoma Lake Quilters met for the first meeting of 2016. Our business meeting is always a very busy time. Fat Quarter Club - Food for Thought - Charity quilt update.- Block drawing (see below) - Question can - Challenge Quilt - Quilt show in October - Mini raffle drawing and of course there are always other discussions. Coffee and goodies always greet us ...we also have a demonstration after each business meeting. And of course, the popular show 'n tell.
