May 15 THREAD CASE WORKSHOP

Tacoma had an all-day workshop to make a THREAD DISPENSER/SEWING CASE  from Patterns By Annie, instructed by Barb and Sue R.  Here are a few pictures to give you a little flavor of what took place. Those who did not take the workshop worked on various other things.

One show and tell. This was made and gifted to Lori H by her friend in California. Storm at Sea with fussy cut lighthouses and nautical theme's in the blocks. Very Nice..

There were others that took the full day class and this is only a sampling and a 'taste of the day'. And as always there were some of us who go that went to lunch. It was a great day. Will have some of the finished thread cases next time.

Area 4 Meeting - May 7

Pine Tree Quilt Guild - Area 4 Spring Meeting

Hosted by Tacoma Lakes, Loose Threads, Cabin Fever, 

Sacred Cotton and Cumston Area Quilters

It was held at the Litchfield Sportsman's Club.

It was a garden party and spring hats were encouraged.

Our speaker was Nancy Murtie, certified instructor for 'Quilt in a Day'

A light luncheon was served with 125 in attendence. 

Also Nancy's sister, Linda of King's Treasures who vended her embroidered squares along with Nancy's "Quilt in a Day' products.
